WACO, TEXAS- One of our favorite Ballparks- Baylor Ballpark.

On a day filled with sunshine and baseball, the Baylor Bears found themselves on top of 2 Games, as the Wildcats and Bears finished Game 1 of the Series Saturday due to lightning Friday night.

 

Jimmy Winston got the nod from Coach Rodriguez for Game 2 and ended up with the win as the Baylor bats were hot from the start. Winston pitched 5 1/3 tossing 83 pitches, 15 for First Pitch Strikes. With 51 Strikes, Winston ended his outing with a Strike % of 61.45.

 

Logan Freeman came on in relief with 17 Pitches and a Strike % of 58.82 followed by Daniel Caruso contributing 2 innings of work and leading the way in Strikeouts. Caruso started slow but finished strong getting the last 6 of 8 hitters faced out, striking out 5 of them. 3 Strikeouts on a called 3rd strike and 2 swing and misses. Caruso ended his bid with a Strike % of 57.58.

 

Enter Luke Boyd. 19 Pitches- 5 First Pitch Strikes- 3 K’s- 63.16 Strike % in one inning of work.
